Time slows down sometimes
on a winter afternoon
the light is bright and blessing
shadows all over the route
creating striped patterns

When we drive up the mountain
to see the view of the panorama
of our beautiful south coast
the boys seeing it
for the first time
delighted they were

Walking through the burnt bush
noting the trees to be cut
some have left behind
blackness and form
to be photographed

Sad that we cannot for a while
travel into that enormous park
full of wonders
in geological time!
