The arts are keeping us
Alive and well
Within the boundaries
Of this strange time

So many expressions
Of hope and redemption
Through song , dance
And poetry and painting

The otherwise blank canvas
Of a bleak scenario
Is coloured up
Beyond belief
With amazing children
Singing their songs
Playing their instruments
With a grace
And commitment
Way beyond their years

They sing , dance
And move
Like angels from heaven
Scattering beauty
On the ground
That we walk upon
Give us more
You wonderful
Young ones
You masters of the universe

We can but praise
And hope
This generation
Growing up now
In strange times
Will find a way
To rebuild life
Using their talents
To find serendipity!
