The winter light
recently casting a spell
over my sight
the sun so low
the days so short

A magic spell
covering the landscape
sitting by the lake
challenging our senses
to slow down
time takes a different dimension

Walking on Conjola beach
waves reflecting that light
while rolling in
perpetual motion
seen through a screen
of subtle delight

The winter light of my life
encouraging every moment
to love and appreciate
the moment of now
to love this remarkable landscape

Reassuring to know
that the ocean will continue
to roll in with the white caps
even when I’ve gone
other generations will
have that beauty!
