Here’s a token
Of days gone by
A trip to Canada
A ceramic white bear
Sitting on a bench for many years
Reminding me of good times

A bear that thrived on snow and ice
How terribly ironic
That he met his fate
In a ferocious fire

But he has survived in my life
With extra pieces melted on
He will be forever an icon
In my garden
Reminding me
Of swift changes
In fate for us all!
