On the question of the RFS
They were the ones abandoned
Under resourced
Under funded
Under equipped
A totally volunteer force
Losing even their lives
And properties
While they fought to save ours

The whole country was burning
They were stretched beyond belief
But fought on with courage
In an impossible situation
If some places were missed
It wasn’t neglect
But the overwhelming demands
On the ground everywhere

So please don’t point a finger
Of blame and anger
At those who did their best
Sacrificing their own lives
To save ours!
