I’m back again
wanting to talk about
the young ones
in this troubled world

What can we say about
the destruction of the environment
so evident here in Australia
in so little time
since the invasion

What chances are there
of redemption now
how can we repair
the damage done in ignorance

I fear prayers
are too late
time for action I’d say
before we have destroyed
The Gods great work

I hope the Dreamtime
enters the consciousness
of new generations
understanding how ancient
and wonderful is this land

in your cold cell
knees on a stone floor

to love humanity
and the planet
we all live on!
