I bought a house today
in Mollymook
close to the sea
my constant inspiration

My previous much loved house
vanished in the fires
lost my neighbours
who passed away before

Three houses gone
a tight little community
disappeared forever
no going back

A new space necessary
to make a new life
a long journey in the heart
to be again whole

Setting up a new life
while time is short
no easy task
in old age

But there it is
done and dusted
a new place
for my final years!
