The poems
are just a part
of the Phoenix arising
from our now empty blocks

But our hearts
are full
and we are having a conversation
longer, more in depth
than ever before
blessings in that

We’ll write on
and make documentaries
never to forget that torment
hoping a lesson has been learnt
funding in place
to face the next onslaught

The government departments
won’t get it right of course
it’s in their DNA
to represent vested interest
not us, sorry to say

But your carefully considered work
might just give them a push
in the right direction
reminding them
of who they represent

So let’s get on with art
in its many forms
so that famously said
Let a thousand flowers blossom!
